How to Straighten the Fixed Fin
Fixed paddle board fins are crucial for maintaining stability and control while paddling. However, they can occasionally become bent or twisted, which may affect your board’s performance.
If you find that your fixed fin is not aligned properly, follow these steps to straighten it:
Supplies Required:
1- Hair Dryer
2- Tape
3- Cold Water
Step 1: Use a hair dryer to heat the fin and soften the material.
Step 2: Straighten the fixed fin with your hand
Step 3: Use tape to set the vertical position, then pour cold water over the fin to lock it in place.
Step 4: Remove the tape; the fin should now be straight.
With your center SUP fin securely straightened, you’re now ready to enjoy a more stable and enjoyable paddling experience. Proper fin placement enhances your board’s performance and helps you navigate with greater ease.
