1- Inspect Your Gear

Before hitting the water, ensure your paddleboard is in optimal condition. Check for any cracks, dents, or damage that may affect its stability or stiffness. Also, examine your paddle for signs of wear and tear. If you detect any issues, have your board and paddle inspected and repaired or replaced by a professional.

2- Dress Appropriately

Spring weather can be unpredictable, so dress according to the conditions. opt for lightweight, breathable clothing that allows free movement. Consider wearing a wetsuit if the water is still cold or for extended sessions. Don't forget to wear a life jacket or personal flotation device for safety.

4-Gradually Build Endurance

If you haven't paddle-boarded regularly over winter, ease back into it with shorter sessions. Gradually increase duration and intensity to rebuild enduranceTaking lessons or working with a coach can refine your technique and enhance your stamina.

5- Plan Your Route and Stay Safe

Before hitting the water, plan your route and be aware of potential hazards like strong currents or obstacles. Check weather forecasts and adjust plans accordingly. Inform someone of your itinerary and return time for safety precautions. Always prioritize safety by wearing appropriate gear and following boating regulations.
